Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 ½ cup all purpose flour can substitute GF flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup high-protein dairy free yogurt

Optional Wash

  • 2 tablespoon yogurt/skyr
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water

Baking Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add your flour, baking powder, and high-protein yogurt to a large bowl. Stir until you get a scraggly dough. Dust your work surface with extra flour and shape the dough into a ball. Add more flour if too sticky.
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll them into balls. Poke holes in the center and stretch them to resemble bagels. Place on the baking sheet.
  • Optional: Whisk together yogurt, olive oil, and water. Brush on bagels and sprinkle with toppings if desired.
  • Bake the bagels for 20 minutes at 375° F, then raise to 400° F for an additional 5-7 minutes until golden brown or cooked through.
  • Allow the bagels to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
