Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes
  • 1 packet onion soup mix https://amzn.to/30iRAuI
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup water or beef broth
  • 1 pound green beans trimmed

Instructions

  • Spray bottom of slow cooker with non stick cooking spray
  • Add beef and potatoes to slow cooker
  • Season with soup mix, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and minced garlic
  • Add butter and water
  • Cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low, stirring occasionally
  • Add green beans and more butter, if desired, in the last hour or two so they don't get too soggy

Notes

You can use frozen or canned beans in place of fresh. Or, serve beans or a different veggie on the side. If potatoes are very thick, you may want to cut them in half so they cook evenly. Cooking times may vary with different sizes and brands of slow cookers.
